Quilt was handmade from cotton, patchwork with many different designs, backed with wadding.

This is a Christmas quilt made by Cuilteoirí na h-Eachléime. The blanket was homespun from wool of sheep, weaved on a loom, from carded wool sometimes dyed.

Quilt/Blanket were both used as bed covers.
